Tex-Mex Restaurant

Jeff Frankel has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. He started Mattito’s in 1992 and now has 4 locations in the Dallas area. He and his business partner, Jim Lannom, are currently in the process of opening a 5th restaurant in Lewisville on I-35 north of 121 with the help of a SBA loan from GTCC.

Mattito’s lively atmosphere buzzes with delighted conversation and the hiss of sizzling fajita skillets. Like Tex-Mex cuisine itself, Mattito’s strikes a delicate balance between traditional and casual that fits parties, family outings, and the casual business lunches that are as much a fixture of DFW life as the generous portions of guacamole and the endless bowls of fresh tortilla chips. The restaurant serves one-of-a-kind food in a unique atmosphere and is now considered a Dallas institution.

When this thriving restaurant wanted to open their 5th location, their banker referred Jeff to Greg Dunn at GTCC. “The folks at GTCC are experienced, very hands on and kept us in the loop every step of the way. We felt very comfortable in their capable hands and would definitely work with them again.”
